Simple Pleasures

Well I had it all planned I would take some sea views of my local coastline for Sarah's http://abeachcottage.com/ Good Life Wednesday, unfortunately its rather grey and misty here in Norfolk today, so not so the good life here at the moment, well till a brighter day anyhow. So I thought I would post a couple of the simple things that make me smile.

Glass

This chandelier in my kitchen is from the 1950's I found it in a junk shop a few years ago for not much money.
The other thing is the pleasure of found objects. I have worked on my small garden for nearly 20 years now, it has gradually evolved over the years from wall to wall grass (because the children needed somewhere to play) to now wall to wall plants. Over that time I have found many a muddy treasure from clay pipes, oyster shells, broken china and glass bottles.

My mother's family are from Norfolk - Langham, and we still have a cottage in Binham is that your neck of the woods? So love it on the north coast there, the huge skies best of all.x
