When I have acquired something on my vintage hunt, they come home usually very tarnished, dirty and a little worn, they're cleaned, polished and restored. Seeing them come to life again is very rewarding, sometimes you will notice little clues to its origin, such as the manufacturers mark or some script etched or engraved onto the piece.
The little coffee pot has the word (from what I can make out) 'suarrer' engraved on it, I have no idea what this means or even what language but I will research, for me it all adds to the interest of a item.
With this English 1920's soda syphon I was able to find the date of its manufacture and where it was made by the etched writing and by looking up the registration mark on the bottom of the bottle.
This small draw was bought to paint but cleaned up so well its going the stay in its original state.
