Summer Loving

We have had a lot of rain lately but for the past couple of weeks the weather has been lovely, it hasn't been one of our best Summers so I'm really enjoying what left of it before the autumnal weather kicks in.

An English summer to me is tea and a favourite magazine in the garden.

Strawberries with cream and roses.. (Sombreuil Tea Rose)

Always fresh flowers for the house.

This is Campanula Pyraidali 'Blue Diadem'

I'm not a garden that's out in all weathers, it has to be a nice day and then I potter really but recently I have made some changes.  A neighbour was knocking down an out building in his garden and kindly let me have the lovely old bricks, so I decided to lay a path which I will fill with pea shingle/gravel.

I have also moved my metal arch to create a little seating area, which I've planted with lots of scented plants, Roses, Jasmine and lots of Lavender

Favourite plants in my garden at the moment Sedum (not in flower here) and Verbena Bonariensis.

Today I am linking with Sarah over at Modern Country Style for her 'Summer Loving' link party

  2. Hello Deborah:
What really lovely images and it all look so very inviting and completely English. We are so pleased that you are enjoying some good weather to make the most of being outside. Here it is 36C [to be hotter by the end of the week!] and so really impossible to be out and about.

Verbena bonariensis is amongst our favourite flowers for late summer. We used to find it short lived but it would always reliably seed around.

  3. Lovely images as ever... surprisingly we had fog this morning, it was more like autumn outside until about ten, when the sun began to burn through the cloud. Like you, I potter on fine days, and did half an hour deadheading in the cool. Now it's getting warmer and warmer, time to retreat indoors.
    Have a good week.

  25. Hey Deb, thanks for your comments re. my hydrangeas (which by the way have dropped dead...). My mother used to put her old used steel wool under the plants to aid with the 'blueing'. Have a great weekend. Robx

  29. Hi Debs, looks like you are very busy in your garden, I love your new path. I need to get a little bit of colour for my garden, so have made a note of your 2 favourites. Oh and I love your silver tray. Many thanks for your visit and kind comments. It's so true what you say about us girls always ending up in the kitchen. I must admit though, I am happiest there! Have a lovely weeek, love Linda x

With cleaning company in Madinah, clean water will be obtained free from dirt and sediment. It is known that water is a source of life and can not live without it for long periods. We need to do all the daily cleaning, food preparation, irrigation and other daily operations we use. When water breaks down, we are exposed to many problems, but in order to avoid these problems, tanks can be installed at the top or bottom of the houses until there is water throughout the dayتنظيف الخزانات الارضية
