Lovely Lavender

Lavender is such a lovely plant and his year I have an abundant of it, so decided to bring in as much as I can to dry and use for lavender pillows.

Even a little sprig in the bathroom.

The kitchen too, the smell is wonderful.

and the best place for lavender is in bedroom. I'll show more of my newly painted bedroom soon, just waiting for hubby to fit a new cupboard door.. you just can't rush these husbands :)

Today I'm linking with Linda over at Coastal Charm

  1. I'm with you on the lavender. But French lavender isn't much good for drying I find, though it makes a spectacular mass of colour and smell in the garden, where I have two good sized plants, covered with bees every time you go out there. But I much prefer ours, and hang a few sprigs, tied with raffia, in the bathroom and kitchen, and shove a few stems in a pretty jug and just leave them, no water, to dry. Some from last year, on a dresser in the hallway, still smell when you sniff them. And I live in an area surrounded by fields of Norfolk Lavender, gorgeous!

  12. Lovely photos Deb, of a favourite plant. I stumbled across a great gal tub at a collectibles fair on Monday and have plonked a pot of lavender inside of it, right at the front door. It looks great and I get a whiff everytime I walk through the door. Robx

  15. What type of lavender is that? I've read that "Grotto" is the most fragrant? I'm a total lavender addict, and can't get enough of it in my house. I adore the scent!! :)
