Another Visit to the Little French Shop

I had a trip to Norwich this week and of course couldn't pass up the opportunity to visit a favourite shop.

'The Bell Jar' in Norwich... I often feature this lovely shop because I just find it so inspiring.

I loved this set of tables, one had a marble top.

and then outside in the small courtyard.

This chair was in the process of being painted, the owner of the shop paints some of the furniture herself using lots of thin layers of paint which looks like its been scrubbed on with a paintbrush, its then waxed.

Linking today with Miss Mustard Seed

  3. Hello Deborah:
We are not at all surprised that you keep returning to this most stylish of stores. A visual feast and so many tempting things to buy. And, everything so imaginatively presented that it is such an inspiration for interior design and decoration. Lovely!

Honestly, I could move right in and be happy. :)

  9. I want to be there browsing in this little shop in England. So charming. I fell in love with the white mirror standing alone with the blue and white tea pot. The tablescape with those cute blue and white plates-adorable.

  13. I'm thinking this is the kind of shop you would love to have for yourself... trouble is, how would you part with everything? You'd have to buy things you didn't like, which would be a bit silly to say the least! I know you love styling your home, and you do it so well, it is just like this shop on a smaller, more cosy scale, so I can see you as the proprietress of such a place, vetting people who want to buy your goodies! Lovely photos yet again.

  22. Hello Deborah

How nice that you give us a second look around this treasure of a shop. The white soup tureens and lidded serving dishes are exactly what I am looking for. Sadly, Norwich is so far away.

  26. Hi Deb, great visit again...thanks..I really am coming to visit one day soon...have just been into France to visit the champagne region which was beautiful...had hoped to find some 'brocante' but no luck...a lot of shops were shut for August...found a market but more 'vide-grenier' than brocante and no joy! Had to settle for some champas and glassware from Mumm! Robx
